It's raining, it's pouring!

I took these photo's the day before yesterday when it was lovely and sunny outside. Today is a different story... it's just WET! It's been pouring since I was I got up with Rose at 6am but at least the garden is getting a good watering! It definitely needed it...

I have a friend coming round with her little girl for a cup of tea this morning and then I have a lot of sewing and knitting planned for this afternoon. I don't plan to leave the house AT all, no thank you! Not unless it suddenly becomes beautiful weather outside!

I'm currently knitting a cute stripy jumper for my friends newborn baby and then have a couple of patchwork bibs to get on with.

Rose has now fully discovered the joys of crayons and has a little desk all of her own, so is spending a Lot of her time squiggling away on her colouring pads. She's been a bit under the weather the last few day's and has been really grumpy so I was realllyyy relieved this morning, when I was greeted with a smile when I went into her room. We seem to have got our happy little girl back! :-)

  1. Enjoy the teatime and the knitting/sewing today :) It is defiantly a 'stay inside' kind of day with all this rain.
Glad to hear your daughter is feeling better, I hope she has a fun day colouring!

    Isn't it VILE out there??!!
Have fun with your friend and I don't blame you for staying indoors, we will be doing the same!

  4. Its a miserable day, the weather doesnt seem to know what it wants to do. One minute its pouring with rain, then we have a brief lull, with bright blue skies, then the clouds take over again. Hoping it stops raining in time for the school run! Glad Rose is feeling better. All my girls love to draw, I try & take paper & pencils with us everywhere as it keeps everyone happy if we get stuck in traffic or waiting somewhere. Love all the photos, looks like you have had a lovely few weeks! I havent been to Wales in ages but its one of my fave places to visit. Have a good afternoon crafting! xx

  5. It was supposed to be heavy rain here but the sun is shining so i'm not sure whether to go out and plant summer bulbs or stay in and cook a cauldron of dhal for the freezer. Mmm maybe another coffee first! Glad Rose is feeling better; I hate it when they are ill and quiet. Lily. xxx

  10. Did it ever clear up? If not - sewing and knitting is just as important as playing in the sunshine. Gotta make time for it, too, y'know!! Now that you have fit in your crafting, hopefully tomorrow will turn out to be a better weather day!
